Six Hour Delay

Oh the joys of flying...
Aaron & I were visiting family in Wyoming and Idaho this last week and we were scheduled to fly home Monday night out of Idaho Falls at 8:15pm. (Those who don't know...Allegiant Air has some very cheap flights (29.00 one way) between Idaho Falls and Las Vegas). We found out the plane was going to be delayed for a couple of hours, so after checking in we went back to my parent's home (they live 5 minutes away, which I was so grateful for after this experience). Well, we were told to be back at 9:00pm. When we came back they said we weren't leaving until after midnight, so we went back to my parent's home again. We were told to be back at 11:00pm, so my parents dropped us off but this time we stayed because we were still scheduled for after midnight. The airport personnel ordered pizza and drinks for everyone, which was very thoughtful (I guess they can do that since the airport is very small). Well, we waited until 1:00am for the plane to arrive from Las Vegas with those passengers. (I had heard that the plane got a flat tire and so they had to call in another plane and then that second plane had some mechanical problems with the brakes, so they had to contract out with another airline, so the plane we finally took was from "Xtra" which I've never heard of). We finally boarded at 1:45am, but someone had checked in, left and had not returned, so they had to do a headcount and roll call and we didn't get off the ground until 2:30am. I was so thankful to finally make it home...we landed at 3:00am and then got home at 3:30am and in bed by 4:00am. It turned out to be a 6 hour delay...I think I'll wait awhile before I fly again. :)

Oquirrh Mountain Open House

Our Family was able to go the Oquirrh Mountain Open House...what a special experience! I got a little emotional sitting in the sealing room with Aaron telling him about the time we sealed him to us because he wanted to hear about the details. It was a very special moment for me. He also loved the bride's room and said he will make sure his bride gets to be in that room some day. They both loved looking through the mirrors in the sealing room. Natalie said she wants to move up by this temple...it has a great view of the city, but the feel of being out of the city, with nice houses and as she said "the temple right out your door." I'm thankful we were able to go!
